Cooking is an art form. Not everyone sees it this way, but I do. I enjoy being in the kitchen whipping up something tasty. I like to smell what I am cooking/baking, taste it, adjust recipes, and ingredients. Its all great fun!
Last night was a quick and easy meal to whip up because I spent most of my late afternoon/evening outside in the GAWGOUS weather doing much needed yard maintenance.
Chicken Parmesan - Tuscan Style
My recipe serves 2. Cook time: 40mins
Ingredients:
2 Boneless chicken breasts
1 Egg
Bread crumbs of any flavor. I prefer roasted garlic for added flavor.
Pasta Sauce
Shredded Mozzerella or 2 slices of provolone cheese (your preference)
Directions:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2: Clean chicken breasts, whip up your egg in a large bowl and spread out a small portion of bread crumbs on a plate. (I don't always use measurements when I'm cooking.)
Step 3: Place chicken breasts in egg and then onto the plate with bread crumbs. Cover completely on both sides.
Step 4: Bake for 35 minutes uncovered.
Step 5: Remove from oven and add a layer of pasta sauce and then sprinkle cheese over the sauce. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, uncovered.
Add some sides...
And the finished project!
It was quite tasty. Would have enjoyed some steamed broccoli, but we were out :(
Hope you enjoy!
XOXO,
Maeg

I added Mexican style cheese to show you can really use any cheese. |

The 3rd chick breast is in there because I was cooking it to slice over our salads this week. |
